Starting as a group of 3 from Spring Hill, Tennessee, Carson Watkins (Rhythm + Acoustic Guitar) Camden Sloan (Drums), and Adam Widegren (Vocals) formed the alternative rock group Gradient. Drawing inspiration from Weezer, The Strokes, and Death Cab for Cutie, the trio began work on their debut EP What You’ll Find. After two songs and a Halloween party, the trio introduced Dylan Weaver (Lead Guitar) and brother Ethan Weaver (Bass Guitar) into the band. The five then began full production of What You’ll Find, creating the last two songs as a group. After playing shows with local bands such as Friday Night Pizza, Indigo Zebras, The Space Coast, and Konnor, the five finally released their debut EP What You’ll Find. Following the release of the EP, Gradient has begun work on singles and an album set to release in 2020.
