GOT7 is a South Korean pop group, currently releasing independently, with a media activities hold by Warner Music Korea. The group consists of seven members: JAY B, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom.
The group was formed by JYP Entertainment and debuted on January 20, 2014, with their first EP, Got It?.
Since then, they have released multiple albums, become credited songwriters, sold out numerous tours worldwide, and launched successful projects—JJ Project and Jus2. The members also have established solo music, modeling, and acting careers while still staying active as a septet.
They’ve also established themselves as a force to reckon with in the K-Pop industry. In 2016, the group was awarded MTV Europe Music Award for Best Worldwide Act (Korea). After releasing their critically acclaimed EP, Call My Name, Billboard named “You Calling My Name” as one of the best K-Pop songs of 2019. Following that, the next year, GOT7 won their first Grand Prize at the Asia Artists Awards for Best Performance of The Year.
In February 2021, the band released the single “Encore,” having departed JYP Entertainment a month earlier, and continuing members' solo activities. They’ve also kept rights to their name and ownership over their discography so far.
The group returned with their long-awaited, self-produced EP, GOT7, in May 2022.
