Goldielocks, given name Ella Mäntynen, is a Finnish-born singer and songwriter (based in Berlin). According to her, she has “always been a performer at heart”, avidly loving theatre and dance as a child. As an adult, Goldielocks has continued the same relationship with music. Interestingly, she only developed an interest in writing and performing pop music after a music teacher noticed Goldielocks’s exceptional voice, leading her to get more unique opportunities in the industry earlier than most (according to “Music Finland”

The 23-year-old Goldielocks is a songwriter whose nocturnal electro ballads combine a cinematic feel with flamboyance and storytelling. The Finnish-born, Berlin-based artist has toured packed halls in Germany, Italy and Iceland. Her first EP, East to South, was released in late 2023, and now her latest single, "Mercy," paves the way for her debut album.

Now, Goldielocks says that she feels “like she is more than just a singer; (she) feels that she is more of a performer”, right at home on stage, which is why she didn’t go by her real name or a gendered pseudonym, “because I want to keep a distance between my personal world and who I am on stage”.

In 2020, Goldielocks signed a publishing deal with company M-Eazy Music, based in Finland. Around this time, she helped write songs for other Finnish artists. One year later, Goldielocks signed a marketing contract with Comusic Management, allowing her to better be recognized for her works. In 2022, Goldielocks signed a record deal with label Sony Music Finland, still continuing to help people with songwriting during this time. In late April, 2023, she released her debut single, “Electrifying”, going on 7 months later to release the EP “East to South”. Following this singles such as “Live Again”, “Push Back My Alarm”, and “Provocateur” were released. On January 8, 2025, she was announced as a finalist for Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2025 (UMK 2025), with the competing song, “Made Of”, released 8 days later on January 16. She competed on February 8, finishing 1st place with the international jury, 2nd with the public (UMK uses a 25/75 split of jury to public respectively) and 2nd overall with a total of 303 points, in comparison to Erika Vikman’s total, winning score of 430 points total.
