About God’s Servant

Brian Davis, who went by the stage name “God’s Servant,” was a Christian rapper who released several albums on Lamp Mode Recordings and worked for the label in the early 2010s – before assisting Shai Linne with the establishment of Risen Christ Fellowship, a Philadelphia church where Davis still serves as pastor.

He was born in Detroit and moved to Philadelphia in 2006. His earliest feature verse was on Shai Linne’s Storiez (2008), and he released his first album, Simple Love, in October 2012. Less than two months later, Davis released a Christmas album – a rarity in Christian hip-hop – and finished his discography with 2014’s Diadem.
