About Gerry Cott

Gerry Cott was born in Dublin, Ireland on the 15th of October, 1954, and started playing guitar at 11 years old, after seeing Bob Dylan live. He’s most known for his involvement in The Boomtown Rats as the lead guitarist from 1975 – 1982. He had a relatively short-lived solo career, but came back in 2010 with his instrumental acoustic guitar album- Urban Soundscapes. He is now more well known as an animal trainer, and has worked for the company A-Z Animals.
