Georgia Anne Muldrow (born 1983),, is an American neo-soul singer-songwriter and producer from Los Angeles, California. She is alternatively known by the pseudonym Jyoti, which means “light” or “flame” in Sanskrit, given to her by free jazz legend Alice Coltrane.
Born in Los Angeles to acclaimed jazz musician Ronald Muldrow and Rickie Byars-Beckwith, leader of the famed Agape Choir and a noted spiritual teacher with the New Thought movement, Georgia was exposed to music at an early age.
Her husband is Dudley Perkins, with whom she founded the SomeOthaShip Connect record label.
Muldrow has worked with the likes of Erykah Badu, Robert Glasper, Yasiin Bey, Bilal, Waajeed, Sa-Ra, eLZhi and many other independent artists.
