Nicknamed “The Mozart of Cinema” by Le Figaro, Georges Delerue (1925-1992) wrote more than 350 scores for films and television. A scoliosis diagnosis steered him into a musical career, and he became the main composer for the French New Wave movement, working with filmmakers such as Truffaut, Godard, Malle, and Resnais.
