George Aliceson Tipton (b. January 23, 1932 – d. February 12, 2016) was an American arranger, conductor, and composer best known for his collaborations with singer-songwriter Harry Nilsson, who George was supportive of early in his career. At some point after arranging Harry’s concept album The Point, Tipton and Nilsson had a falling out, with Tipton largely working on television scoring afterwards.
