About Georg Buljo

Georg Buljo was born on February 2, 1969. He is a Norwegian-Sami artist, guitarist and producer. Together with Kåre Vestrheim, he started the group Locomotives in the early 1990s, where he served as guitarist, songwriter and co-producer. Buljo works with Mari Boine, Lars Bremnes and Niko Valkeapää as a producer and songwriter, among others. He has also collaborated with Odd Nordstoga, Lars-Ante Kuhmunen, Johan Anders Bær, Biret Risten Sara and Jan Eggum, as well as a number of other Norwegian and Sami artists. Buljo is a record producer at Duippidit Audio Laboratorium in Oslo and in 2002 established the record label Duippidit, which received the Spellemannprisen 2003 for Niko Valkeapää’s first album. In 2017, he co-wrote the song “Venelite” for the folk rock band Gåte’s EP Attersyn.
