Raised in Los Angeles, Gavlyn grew up rapping around the hood and had her dream planned out at the age of 15. She met DJ Hoppa around that time and their crew Organized Threat started to gain recognition through MySpace, especially in Europe where she built a large fanbase by touring.
By 2012 she was top charting on Snoop Dogg’s voter based Underground Heat community and he brought her up to his youtube talk show GGN Hood News. Around the same time she played her part in bringing together the viral all female LA Cypher Effect youtube video. Since then she has released six albums on DJ Hoppa’s Broken Complex label, the last one being Headspace, released in March 2018.
