Singer/songwriter Gary Taylor, in addition to recording 9 solo albums on his own, was largely active as a writer throughout the 1980s, penning hits for artists like The Whispers, Vesta Williams, and Lalah Hathaway.
One of his biggest commercial splashes as a writer came from A Tribe Called Quest interpolating the chorus of “Good Love”, a lush ballad written for Anita Baker’s platinum album Giving You The Best That I Got, into ATCQ’s hit song “Stressed Out” featuring Faith Evans.
Gary Taylor's first song Tease Me released on Thu Jan 01 1970.
