LiAngelo Robert “Gelo” Ball, also known by his stage name DoughBoy G, is an American professional player and rapper from Chino Hills, California. He won a state championship in 2016 at Chino Hills High School (CHHS) alongside his brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo, going undefeated throughout the season.
He and LaMelo signed with the Lithuatian professional basketball team BC Prienai in December of 2017. After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA draft, Ball joined the Los Angeles Ballers of his father’s Junior Basketball Association (JBA) league, teaming up with LaMelo once again. During the 2018 season, he was awarded with Co-MVP of the All-Star Game, sharing the award with Deon Lyle of the Chicago Ballers. LiAngelo led his team to the first ever JBA championship title, receiving the Finals MVP honor in the end. He was selected to the JBA’s USA team, which faced several European teams on an international tour.
After undergoing ankle surgery and rehabbing for much of the 2019-20 season, LiAngelo signed with the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G-League in March of 2020.
As a recording artist, he was featured on “BITF” and “Don’t Shoot Me”, both with Lonzo.
