St. Louis native Metro Boomin (also known as Young Metro or simply Metro for short) is a record producer and songwriter. He frequently works with rappers like 21 Savage, Young Thug, and Offset to make collaboration albums (such as the 2017 joint album Without Warning.

Future, meanwhile, is a rapper and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. He gained some traction in the early 2010s, but his rap career really took off in 2015, following the release of his collaboration mixtape with Drake, What a Time to be Alive.

Metro Boomin and Future have worked together numerous times in the past, but the first songs under their name as a joint artist are Too Many Nights and I Can’t Save You (Interlude), both of which are present on Metro’s 2022 album, Heroes & Villains.
