Funksway was a “Supergroup” that came together during the filming of the documentary “Before the Music Dies.” The group is comprised of Doyle Bramhall II on vocals and guitar, Erykah Badhu joining Doyle on vocals, Questlove (of The Roots) on drums, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman (yep, from Prince’s Revolution) were on guitar and keyboards, Mike Elizando on Bass with additional contributions from James Poyser and Susannah Melvoin.
