About Frukwan

Arnold Hamilton, better known by his stage names Frukwan, Gatekeeper or Fruitkwan, is an American rapper and record producer from New York City, New York. He began his career as a member of Stetsasonic, and released three albums with the group. As a member of the group, he contributed to the song “Self Destruction” by the Stop the Violence Movement alongside several notable hip hop stars. After the dissolution of Stetsasonic, he became a member of Gravediggaz alongside RZA, Poetic and fellow former Stetsasonic member Prince Paul, assuming the name of the Gatekeeper. Gravediggaz have released three studio albums.

Frukwan embarked on a solo career in 2003, releasing the album Life. In 2009, he released his second studio album Greatness. Both albums experienced little success.
