About Frightened Rabbit

Frightened Rabbit are a Scottish indie rock band from Selkirk, formed in 2003. Initially a solo project for vocalist and guitarist Scott Hutchison, whose nickname as a child was Frightened Rabbit (due to his shyness), he was quickly joined by his brother, Grant Hutchison (drums). The line-up on their latest release also included Billy Kennedy (guitar, bass), Andy Monaghan (guitar, keyboards), and Simon Liddell (guitar).

In total, the band has released 5 full length studio albums, breaking through with their critically acclaimed The Midnight Organ Fight (2007). The most recent album is Painting of a Panic Attack (2016), released on Atlantic Records.

On 9 May 2018, Grant Hutchison tweeted that Scott had gone missing. Scott was found dead the following night on the banks of the Firth of Forth – many fans will recognize this locale from the song “Floating In The Forth”. This comes after Scott’s long battle with mental health issues.
