Franz Novotny is an Austrian filmmaker. He was born on May 30th, 1949 in the Austrian capital city of Vienna and is best known for his 2003 film Yu, being entered into the 25th Moscow International Film Festival. He was also known for 2018’s Angelo and 2019’s 7500, with 7500 being selected by Amazon as a part of Amazon Prime-available video. Besides that, Novotny also founded a production company, Novotny and Novotny, with his wife Karin.
