About Frank Popp Ensemble

The Frank Popp Ensemble was a German band from Düsseldorf, founded by Frank Popp in 2001. The band played the soul style of the 1960s. The song “Hip Teens Don’t Wear Blue Jeans” was a radio hit in Italy in the same year, but it was only because the song was used for a Coca-Cola advertisement in 2003 that it became a hit in Germany, too. It remained the only hit by the Frank Popp Ensemble.
