Originally born in Cameroon, Bebey would go on to be one of Cameroon’s most prolific musicians with 20 albums released in his lifetime. His music is usually thought of as a combination of Cameroonian Makossa, Jazz and Pop. Although primarily he played Sanza, Flute and Guitar, he was also one of the first African musicians to compose with synthesizers.
