About Floor Jansen

Floor Jansen, born 21 February 1981, is a Dutch singer, songwriter, and vocal coach. She is currently the lead vocalist of Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish & hard rock project band Northward as well as a solo artist.

Floor Jansen, was part of the twelfth season of the major Dutch television show “Beste Zangers” featuring fellow Dutch singers. She achieved multiple no. 1 reaching singles in this show. All shows of her first ever solo tour in 2020 sold out within 24 hours, including AFAS Live, one of The Netherlands' biggest venues. Consequently she played in front of millions with Nightwish, selling out countless shows and headlining the biggest festivals.

Floor first became known as leader of symphonic metal band After Forever, which she started at age 16. When After Forever disbanded, she formed ReVamp. In 2012 following the departure of their lead vocalist Anette Olzon, Nightwish brought in Floor as a touring member. In 2013, they announced Floor as their full-time lead vocalist. In 2018, she and Pagan’s Mind guitarist Jørn Viggo Lofstad premiered their hard rock duo Northward.
