Filter is an American industrial rock band, led by lead singer Richard Patrick (former guitarist for Nine Inch Nails) and guitarist Brian Liesegang.
Their first studio album, Short Bus, (1995) went platinum, sold over 1 million copies, and boasted the band’s first hit single, “Hey Man Nice Shot”.
After Liesegang’s departure from the band in 1997, Patrick and the remaining members released their second platinum record, Title of Record, which provided fans in early 2000 with both a second hit single, “Take a Picture,” and a new sound unlike the industrial rock of the past.
