London based Chinese-British artist Fifi Rong is a vocalist, songwriter and music producer. Blending Chinese influences with Western popular music, her unmistakable trademark, hybrid sound is a blend of Pop, Avant-garde, Electronica, IDM and UK Bass Music, accentuated by her distinctive melancholic and sensual vocals.
Fifi has collaborated with artists including Tricky, Phaeleh and Yello (three tracks on current Universal Records album Toy) as well as featured on the title track of Skepta’s hugely successful UK No. 2 and Mercury Prize-winning album Konnichiwa, which Complex described as ‘One of the strongest album beginnings in British music history’.
In 2019, Fifi joined the W Records– the brand new music initiative from the iconic W Hotels. She recorded her new singles ‘Farewell to Cambridge’ and ‘Way Out’ at W Hollywood Sound Suite in LA, and debuted both songs with mesmerising live performances at W Xi’an and W Shanghai – The Bund as a part of her most successful China tour to date.
Fifi has also received vast support from a stream of blogs and radio stations including The 405, Clash, Fader Magazine, Hype Magazine, Pigeon and Planes, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1 Extra, BBC Radio 6 Music etc.
Having already established herself internationally as a stand-out live performing, with shows throughout the UK, Europe, and China as well as a number of triumphant showcases during SXSW 2017 (US), Fifi performed with Yello at the Montreux Jazz Festival and also involved in the seven-date performance tour of Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
