Founded in Northamptonshire, England in 2006, Fenech-Soler is a electronic rock and synthpop duo consisting of brothers Ben and Ross Duffy. The band originally also included Andrew Lindsay and namesake Daniel Fenech-Soler, until they departed from the band in 2016.
Their first two albums, 2010’s eponymous Fenech-Soler and 2013’s Rituals, are marked by loop-based electronic melodies and some rather roof-raising beats, with a style reminiscent of Delphic and Monarchy, both England-based contemporaries. Their third album, Zilla, will be the first album by the band since Lindsay and Soler’s departure when it releases in 2017, and will mark a move to a more laid-back, disco and soul inspired sound.
