About FBG Duck

Carlton Dequan Weekly-Williams, better known as FBG Duck, was a Chicago, Illinois-born performer who lived from December 6, 1993, to August 4, 2020.

His larger-than-life appearance and charisma earned him the moniker “Big Clout.” His deadpan expression makes him easy to identify. Essentially, Duck is where the underdog tale of the Chicago rap culture begins and finishes.

Duck and his family are natives of the public housing complex in the South Side’s Bronzeville neighborhood, Ida B. Wells Homes. In 2008, they relocated to Woodlawn.

He joined the disreputable Gangster Disciple section St. Lawrence 063, dubbed Tookaville after Duck’s close friend, Shondale “Tooka” Gregory, who passed away in 2011 at the hands of an unidentified shooter. Gregory was 15 years old.

Duck makes up one-third of the original Fly Boy Gang members. He stated: “We came up with the name because we all used to think we was so fly” in an interview with Power 92.3 from 2014.

After releasing “Edai Is U Serious” with Billionaire Black and “Who the Fuck Is Dude” with King Lil Jay, he gained popularity. His debut mixtape, Look At Me, and its lead hit, “Right Now”, helped him gain traction in 2013.

Duck’s career would continue to flourish over the following several years as he released the projects Clout Life, Different Personalities in 2015, This How I’m Coming in 2016, and Different Personalities 2 in 2017.

He lost his younger sister to a house fire on March 12, 2014. A few months later, his cousin Scrapp was fatally shot. In a double shooting that occurred in the summer of 2017, his older brother FBG Brick and his cousin Coby Mack were both killed. In spite of sorrow, he persisted.

Duck released mixtapes This How I’m Coming 2 and Look At Me 2 within a short period of time. The music video for his most well-known song to date, “Slide”, was made available on January 24, 2018. The track was well-received, leading to a record deal with the Sony Music Entertainment division RECORDS and a 21 Savage remix.

Big Clout, his EP, was released on October 12th, 2018. He released his eighth mixtape, This How I’m Coming 3, on February 8 of 2019. He was getting ready to put out his debut studio album, From the Heart. Duck revealed on July 29, 2020 via Facebook, that Rap-A-Lot Records had signed him to a record deal.

In a triple shooting on August 4, 2020, Duck was shot dead in the posh Gold Coast neighborhood. He passed away at age 26.

The establishment of Big Clout Records was announced by Duck’s estate following his passing. His first posthumous mixtape, He Back, was made available on September 15, 2020. Southwest, a joint effort between him and Lil Chris, was made available to the public on November 30, 2020.

Five men were detained and charged with his murder on October 13, 2021.
