Patrick Lamark Hawkins (born December 4, 1970 – died February 3, 1998), better known by his stage name Fat Pat, was an American rapper from Houston, Texas. He rose to prominence with the creation of the Screwed Up Click, featured on many of DJ Screw’s grey tapes, alongside his older brother Big Hawk, Lil' Keke, and Mike D.
Fat Pat was featured on several Southern hits in the ‘90s, including “Wanna Be a Baller” and “25 Lighters.” In 1997, he created the group Dead End Alliance (D.E.A.), which included Fat Pat, DJ Screw, Kay-K, and Big Hawk.
On February 3, 1998, Fat Pat was shot and killed outside of an apartment complex in Houston by an unknown killer. His debut album Ghetto Dreams was released shortly after his death on March 17, 1998, along with his biggest hit, “Tops Drop.”
