Fangclub is a punk/grunge band from Dublin, Ireland by members Steven King, vocals/guitar, Kevin Keane, bass, and Dara Coleman on drums. Steven and Kevin were both school friends and often played together at gigs and met the now drummer Dara at a house party.

As the band began finding initial success – a record deal and tour offers – King’s family began to “implode and crumble up”, sending him into a depression he tried to drown with alcohol:

By Christmas of 2017 it was to the point where I didn’t want to do anything anymore. I didn’t want to play in a band, none of it mattered anymore.

His father saw some artwork he’d made, featuring defaced self-portraits, and brought him to a clinic. King has since been sober and the band rebounded. In 2019, they released Vulture Culture, opened for Metallica at Slane Castle, and toured Europe with Smashing Pumpkins.
