About Exposé

Exposé is a three-piece vocal group best known for their Latin freestyle and adult contemporary hits throughout the mid-late ‘80s and early '90s.

Formed by songwriter and producer Lewis A. Martineé, Exposé started as X-Posed with members Alé, Sandee and Laurie Miller. Their 1985 debut single “Point of No Return” and follow-up “Exposed to Love” were major club hits, gaining the recognition and permission from label Arista Records to record a full album.

For the group’s 1987 debut album Exposure, all three original members of Exposé were replaced with the lineup now consisting of Gioia Bruno, Ann Curless and Jeanette Jurado. The new trio made their debut with the single “Come Go With Me,” another massive club hit. The album included four Top 10 singles (including a re-recorded version of “Point of No Return”), becoming the first debut album by a group to do so. The album also included the track “Seasons Change,” Exposé’s only #1 single to date.

In 1989, the group released their sophomore album What You Don’t Know which continued their streak of consecutive Top 10 singles, bringing the total to seven. This would be the Exposé’s final album with member Gioia Bruno before her departure from the group due to health issues. Bruno would be replaced by Kelly Moneymaker for the group’s final album, 1992’s Exposé.

Though Exposé’s final singles failed to replicate the commercial success of their previous releases, they did find a Top 10 hit with the Diane Warren-penned ballad “I’ll Never Get Over You Getting Over Me.” The group would release one final single and a 1995 album titled Greatest Hits before being dropped from Arista Records and disbanding in 1996.

After a long hiatus, the group reformed and the Bruno-Curless-Jurado iteration continues to tour and perform.
