About Exodus

Exodus is a San Francisco Bay Area based thrash metal band, formed in 1979. Often lauded as one of the pioneers of the “Bay Area Thrash” sound, the band has withstood numerous lineup changes over the years.

The only musician who was present in all formations of Exodus is guitarist Gary Holt. Notable ex-members include drummer Paul Bostaph and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett.

Their debut studio album, Bonded by Blood, was released in 1985. Since then, they have released 10 more, with their 11th and latest, Persona Non Grata, released on November 19, 2021.
