About Evanescence

Evanescence is an American rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer/pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. They have released five studio albums: Fallen (2003), The Open Door (2006), Evanescence (2011), Synthesis (2017), and The Bitter Truth (2021). Some of their hit songs include: “Bring Me to Life,” “My Immortal,” “Call Me When You’re Sober” and “What You Want.”

In 2014, the band parted ways with their long-term record label Wind-Up and became independent artists. In late 2016, they released a Ultimate Collection box set featuring all their albums along with the 2000 demo album Origin and a B-sides compilation Lost Whispers.

In November 2017, they released their fourth album, Synthesis, featuring a reimagining of some of their past songs plus two new original songs with the spotlight on full orchestra and electronics.

Their fifth album, The Bitter Truth, was released in March 2021.
