About Erasing Insane

Erasing Insane, formerly known as Drowning at Dawn, was an alternative rock band from Galveston, Texas, consisting of founding member, Ja'Cory Lavine and Cassie Olguin.
The band was originally a trio of sorts, going through multiple changes in members and more throughout the years. Starting in 2010 with their debut record, According To Us, and ending officially in 2014 after the release of their second EP, Simple, in 2012, the band slowly became the duo as mentioned earlier. Lavine and Olguin were the band’s longest standing members and stuck it out as long as they could, before parting ways musically. Lavine is now a solo pop artist that goes under the pseudonym, “Cortéz”, now making his official debut into the music industry. Olguin is no longer doing music, but does make a few guest appearances in the credits of Lavine’s solo work under his legal name prior to the year 2017.
Before splitting up, the band had attempted to re-brand themselves completely, changing the name of the band to Erasing Insane. There was talk of a new album in the works and six acoustic demo clips were released in a compilation video on YouTube where they asked fans to pick the one liked best as their brand new single. Nothing more than this was released music-wise except for a remix of the song “Well… I’m not…” from the 2010 debut record. The band underwent a quiet breakup soon after this, but can still be found all across the internet.
