As reggae and dancehall music transcend color barriers, music lovers, musicians and producers worldwide have embraced the music genre, such is producer Emanuel Schirmer’s path.
Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Emanuel life was immersed in music at an early age, when his mother, a musician in her own rights instilled the craft via the cello, which was eventually replaced by the drums in the hopes of forming a band. Emanuel understood music, and as a teen took those tools and started to produce and make beats. Embracing all genres of music, it was dancehall that evoked and stirred his passion. Launching his first home studio, “Emudio Records” was born as a combination of “Emanuel” and “Studio”.
While attending college for Economics in Germany, Emanuel received the chance of a lifetime to work his first professional work with renowned Big Ship in Jamaica. With his first official project “Ready Or Not Riddim” received to positive reviews, the latter fueled the young producer’s desire to create more. Since then, Emudio Records have remained anchored in Jamaica, and have steadily delivered hit music, with what he counts as his biggest achievement in terms of production with the release of “Genna Bounce Riddim” which includes Aidonia’s hit single “yeah yeah”
“My musical mission is to give the listeners a reason to be excited about music and also to help to set high standards in the industry in terms of production. I also hope to be able to contribute the success of reggae/dancehall internationally. I would like to be remembered as somebody who has genuine love for music.”- Emanuel Schirmer
