Born on August 30, 1996, in Nashville, Tennessee, Margaret Emlen Peake, famously known as her stage name emlyn, is an American artist, songwriter, and producer.
Peake started writing songs during her teenage years. However, she always found an interest in music since she was a little girl. Around that time, she self-released her debut album under the name of Maggie Peake,You’re Not Alone, and time later co-wrote a song for Matt Hartke titled “Gold”, which has been streamed around 30 million times on Spotify since its release back in 2016. This was just the start for the upcoming entertainer.
After her graduation, she moved to LA in order to not only keep writing for artist, but also to start her career. But now, under her most famous stage name, “emlyn”.
In 2019, she released “Had Me at Hello” as her debut single, which was then followed by another four that would made the cut to her first body of work inspired on Lindsay Lohan’s famous Disney movie, confessions of a drama queen. The EP has amazed over 10 million streams on Spotify and still counting.
Almost a year later of her first project, the singer dropped her 10-track debut studio album titled loneliest b!tch in america containing hits and viral TikTok songs such as “rapunzel”, “temporary funeral”, “plan z” and “god sent me as karma”.
