Eminem is a politically outspoken gangsta-rap/comedy hip-hop artist based in Detroit who owns his own label, Shady Records. His fourth studio album and most best-selling album, The Eminem Show, has been considered “a classic album” and is the second-best-selling album of the twenty-first century.
Big Sean is also a Detroit, Michigan rapper, whose third studio album, the 2015 Dark Sky Paradise, won #1 on the Billboard Top 200. Sean also carries the vocals on the 2013 track “Control” and also won No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for his hip-hop/R&B single “I Don’t Fuck With You”.
Babytron is an Ypsilanti, Michigan recording artist and a ShittyBoyz member. He has a reputation of pioneering “scam rap” but became famous in 2019 with his track “Jesus Shuttleworth”, as part of his studio album Bin Reaper, which came out that same year and is available on Spotify.
Eminem, Big Sean, and Babytron each represent three eras of Michigan rappers who collaborate to make the second single of Eminem’s 2024 album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), Tobey.
