Emily Li, more commonly known as Emei (born October 3, 1999), is a Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter, known for her unique take on the alternative-pop scene.
Her career started at the young age of 15, where she participated in the reality TV show Chinese Idol. In August 2021, she released her debut single, “Distracted,” with producer LEXIM. After graduating from Timothy Dwight College at Yale University (majoring in cognitive science) in 2022, she put out her first extended play, End of an Era. Around this same time, she moved from New Haven, Connecticut to Los Angeles to further pursue a career in the music industry.
