Elli Ingram (born 14 July 1993) is an R&B/neo-soul singer from Brighton, England. She cites Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, D’Angelo, Big Pun and Jill Scott as five of the biggest influences on her sound.
Ingram rose to prominence in 2013 with her covers of Kendrick Lamar’s “Poetic Justice” and Chance The Rapper’s “Cocoa Butter Kisses” (humorously retitled “Canna Butter Kisses”), and swiftly followed up with her debut EP Sober, signed to Chase & Status’s MTA Records. She collaborated with the duo on “Heaven Knows”, and performed the song throughout their UK arena tour.
She signed to Universal/Island and released her second EP, The Doghouse, in 2014. The project was named after a recording studio in Reading.
After a quiet few years of songwriting, Ingram released her debut album, Love You Really, in 2017. The project features the hit singles “Table for Two” and “Stone Cold”. In 2018, she appeared on COLORS to perform album track “Sweet & Sour”.
