Brighton born Luke Nyeke aka El. Train is known for his ability to blend together Hip-Hop, R&B and Electronic beats with a heavy nod to the US West Coast beats scene. Whether remixing, producing for other artists or his own releases, you can be sure he will always add his own signature sound.
In the last few years he has released music on labels such as Laruche Records, Darker Than Wax, Jakarta Records & a collaborative EP ‘Over & Over’ with singer Miki Rose on his own label Shimmy Records. He’s also remixed the likes of Ivy Lab, J-Felix and Sinead Harnett.
His work with singer Rubee Rayne has received much critical acclaim, being picked up by BBC Radio 1Xtra as their ‘Introducing Track Of The Week’ and also being released by Mercedes Benz as part of their 'mixed tape’ series. He’s also received support from; Radio 1xtra, Complexion (Radio Westside), Rinse FM, NTS, Reprezent Radio, Soulection Radio and more. Latest single 'Feels Like’ is the first taste of his upcoming project, receiving support from Mistajam (1xtra) and BBC Introducing.
In 2015 he was selected by Four Tet and other judges as the Cape Town Electronic Music Festival Bassxchange representative, giving him the opportunity to travel to South Africa to DJ in Cape Town & Johannesburg.
As a DJ he’s known for his eclectic sets being recruited to play Glastonbury, Wildlife and a whole host of other festivals in the past couple of years. Supporting the likes of Snakehips, Bondax , MSSINGNO and Mr Carmack on various shows across Europe and South Africa.
