Born and raised in Havana’s 10 De Octubre neighborhood, El Individuo is a bourgeoning voice from Cuba’s underground hip hop scene. His new 5-track EP Soy combines the lyricism and flow of the underground Latin American hip hop scene with the authentic percussive rhythms of Cuban jazz, offering lyrics that are proudly Afrocuban and beats that are unmistakable of Havana.
