About Edu Falaschi

With a carreer spanning over thirty years,
Eduardo Teixeira da Fonseca Vasconcellos, better known as Edu Falaschi, is a brazilian heavy metal singer. With humble begginings in local bands like Mitrium and Symbols (alongside his brother, Tito Falaschi), Falaschi was raised to national (and international) attention after joining the newly reformed Angra in 2001.

With Angra, Edu co-wrote and recorded four albums before leaving the band in 2012, including Rebirth and Temple of Shadows, both considered some of the best power metal albums of all time. Meanwhile, he formed a side project called Almah, which was active between 2006 and 2016.

After dealing with several health issues, Falaschi returned to the spotlight as a solo artist, accompanied by some of his former Angra companions, namely, drummer Aquiles Priester and keyboardist Fabio Laguna, some of his Almah allumni in bassist Raphael Dafras and guitarist Diogo Mafra, and the newcomer guitar player Roberto Barros, a.k.a. The Cyborg.

What started as a celebration of his carreer, actually began a new chapter in Falaschi’s legacy, with the release of new material under the records Vera Cruz in 2021, and Eldorado in 2023, both well accepted in the power metal community.
