Ed Dunne is a Los Angeles-based composer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Dublin, Ireland. With his unique mix of orchestral and modern sounds, and a knack for creating memorable melodies, Ed has made a name for himself in the music industry.
Ed has worked on over 700 major TV commercials for big-name brands like Apple, Nike, Adidas, and Coca-Cola. Beyond commercials, Ed composed the score for the short film La Première, which features a narration by James Earl Jones. The film tells the story of the Lumière brothers, who invented the early motion-picture projector—the Cinématographe, which gave us the word “cinema.” Ed also collaborated with director Marko Slavnic on several projects, including the short films Table 7 and Project Skyborn. Back in 2015, Ed brought Marko’s vision to life by scoring his feature film All That Remains, shot on location in the stunning landscapes of Croatia.
While mostly known for scoring movies, Ed switched things up in 1998 and dropped a solo album called Sleeping in the Ocean. The album consists of nine tracks, mostly instrumental, and it’s designed to evoke a smooth, relaxed jazz atmosphere. A few tracks break the mold, but the overall feel of the album aligns perfectly with its soothing title.
