You would hope the artists crafting your favorite albums and most played songs have the same, burning passion you have listening to them when they create them. Sadly, that euphoric feeling is not present in most, but Echo XO is the exception. A bright twenty-year-old emcee with a flair for the energetic and eccentric, he learned the ropes of life in Sin City. Growing up in Las Vegas had its ups and downs, but the important lesson he learned early on is that rolling the dice can cost you your hopes, your dreams, and sometimes, your life. It was early on he wanted to spend his time dedicated to music as a sort of escapism tactic, but also to show others just like him that there was more to discover in situations like his than what lies on the surface. Releasing his debut project in high school, Echo quickly became one of Las Vegas’ most talked about up-and- coming artists. Describing his sound as “rage trap,” it has an intense, unpolished quality to it that allows him to take every note and chord to the maximum level. Raw emotion and vulnerability are some of the hallmarks of his sound, and it’s these factors that allow him to be so relatable to the new generation of music lovers.
