Dru was born and raised in Toronto, as well as the nearby suburb of Mississauga, Ontario.

Losing his mother and sole caregiver at the age of 7, Dru Bex was exposed to the world at a very young age and identified with the neighborhood youth; many of whom were missing a strong parental presence in their lives.

Despite being obsessed with many of the false promises of street life, Dru found balance in his creativity as well as the church. Spending years sharpening his rhyme and production skills, he developed a penchant for catchy melodies and creative cadences unseen in much of today’s Hip-hop landscape.

Today, through music and public engagement, Dru continues to spread a message of love, hope, and peace.
