About Dream Mclean

Dream Mclean grew up hooked on the likes of Nas, Wu Tang and mid-era Jay Z, as well as the homegrown sounds of Drum & Bass and Garage. During his teenage years, a shy Dream began experimenting with his own lyrics and soon found himself on the mic. From jamming with his mates, Dream swiftly graduated to local events and internet freestyles, and it wasn’t long before his self-released mixtapes were championed on the airwaves by radio DJ’s such as Westwood and Cameo. If that wasn’t enough, Chase N Status then approached the young rapper to feature on their banger ‘Saxon’. It was here that Dream’s star potential was fully recognised and MTA bosses immediately snapped him up for the label.

Having since toured with Chase & Status and Professor Green, plus performed at Europe’s Outlook Festival, the future looks very bright for the self confessed Essex boy. His tracks ‘Network’ and ‘Sloe Gin’ have received support from Zane Lowe, Mistajam, Annie Mac and Charlie Sloth, to name but a few. With an EP about to drop and his debut album in the pipeline (boasting production from his label bosses Chase N Status as well as the likes of Noisia and Ballistiq Beats), Dream looks set to take the world by storm with his uniquely British sound.
