About DragonForce

DragonForce are a British-based power metal sextet formed in 1999. Their initial line-up comprised guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, keyboard player Vadim Pruzhanov, vocalist Z. P. Theart, drummer Dave Mackintosh, and bassist Adrian Lambert.

As of 2021, however, after several changes in formation, the band consists of Marc Hudson (who replaced Theart in 2010), Li, Totman, and Gee Anzalone (who replaced Mackintosh in 2014). Adrian Lambert was replaced by Frédéric Leclercq in 2005, but Leclercq subsequently left the band in August 2019 in order to pursue other projects, being replaced by Damien Rainaud and Alicia Virgil for touring purposes. In 2022, Virgil replaced Leclercq as permanent bassist.

On June 10th 2019, after two years' declining involvement with the band, Pruzhanov posted on his Facebook page to say that he had officially left the band in May 2018. In March 2020, Gee was hospitalized with myocarditis and was forced to skip DragonForce’s United States tour, with Aquiles Priester replacing him for the duration.
