Frank Portman, better known as Dr. Frank, is the leader and primary songwriter for the long-running pop-punk band The Mr. T Experience.

Frank also played in the short-lived group The Bomb Bassets, which included MTX drummer Jim Pittman, Sweet Baby founder Dallas Denery, and regular MTX producer/engineer Kevin Army.

More recently, Frank has written three books of young adult fiction: King Dork, Andromeda Klein, and King Dork Approximately.
