About Dr. Bombay

Dr. Bombay, which his real name is Jonny Jakobsen, is a Swedish bubblegum pop artist. His music is famous around the world, escpecially in Asia and India. His character is an Indian man who has multiple careers. His songs have appeared in Dancemania and other dance compilations.

Before being Boobay, Johnny was a country singer called “Johnny Moonstone”. However, the project failed and he sought in search of a new sound. This would become the making of Dr. Bombay. Although Bombay had success, he was a controversial figure to some as he was called “offensively stereotypical”.

He has a total of two albums; Rice & Curry and The Hits and memorable singles such as ‘’S.O.S. (The Tiger Took My Family)“ and "Rice & Curry”.
