Growing up in a small coastal town in Southwest England, Douglas Dare was encouraged from a young age to be involved musically from his mother, a piano teacher. Masterful at songwriting, piano playing, and singing, Dare is now based in London and has caught the attention of Erased Tapes Records, a London Independent label that focuses on unconventional and forward-looking artists such as Dare.
Part of the allure of Dare as an artist is his inclination to include his personal life in his music. Much of the songs on his newly released album, Aforger, are derived from his own poems.
