About Don Neil

Born in 1997, Don Neil is a young, hungry and most importantly, talented rap artist from Baltimore, whose musical influences range from his uncle 100GrandMan, who is a Baltimore based rapper, to Kid Cudi, J.Cole, Chance The Rapper, and Drake. His “sound” is hard to pigeonhole, though it has been called Chill Hop, because of his verbal cadence and lush sound of his production. In a review of Don’s single “I’m Weak”, Naima Karp proclaimed that “He’s fluid in both his rapping and his singing (a feat that many artists attempt, and rarely succeed at without sounding corny)”. In listening to Don’s music, you can easily hear that he is not the average rapper these days talking about his pills, his keys, or gun. Far from corny, Don’s music has a message that conveys that it’s okay to be young and not sure of which road to take, but at the same time, have motivation, be patient, and have fun.

Don Neil has been featured on platforms such as RESPECT Mag, Morpheus, Music and Other Drugs, Audifact, The Hype Magazine, Plug Society, CultureMix, The New LoFi and Fashionably Early, has performed in the Cayman Islands, and been a featured interviewee at Choice FM 92.1 in Raleigh. Notwithstanding all these accolades, Don’s journey as an artist has just begun and we are all in for a hell of a ride.
