Tiago Barros, birth name of DJEFF, was born to a musical-filled family in Lisbon, Portugal. An avid consumer of big pop acts and African rhythms from an early age, it was not until Barros' sister introduced him to her record collection where his love of electronic sounds finally came to light. Artists such as Robin S, Reel 2 Real, Daft Punk, Armand Van Helden, and Erick Morillo started to educate young Djeff’s tastes, awakening his passion to become a DJ.

Today, Barros is a renowned DJ in the Portuguese and Angolan scene. He also founded his own label, Kazukuta Records, to build a platform where new Angolan house talent could share their art to the world.
