Disasteradio is a synthpop project by New Zealand’s Luke Rowell, famous for its upbeat, shamelessly corny MIDI sounds and vocoder vocals. Rowell received international recognition when the music video for “Gravy Rainbow,” from his 2010 LP, Charisma, went viral on YouTube. His 2017 album Sweatshop was ranked at least #9 on the New Zealand Top 40 Official Charts.
