About Dimitri McDowell

As an artist on the rise, Dimitri McDowell is a singer and songwriter, born and raised in Jamaica, Queens NY. Music has always been a part of Dimitri’s life. He started playing instruments at the age of 4. As he got older dimitri began to stutter he used it as a way to express himself creatively through his music. Having won a four-time winner as an Apollo Legend. In 2007 a two-time winner of McDonald’s Gospel Fest, and a finalist in the Knicks Poetry Slam.

He began his professional music career in 2014. His credits include co- writing for top billboard singles including “To my Bed” by Chris Brown, “something new” by Wiz Khalifa ft TY Dolla $igns and “Dangerous Games” by 112. He also wrote for grammy award winning singer-songwriter, Lecrae where he was featured in the single, “Nuthin” which sold over 500,00 copies. The song was later nominated for a BET Hip-Hop Award for the most impactful record in 2014.

Dimitri has continued to excel in his music career. As he builds momentum he co- wrote for Usher and Zaytoven joint project 1-6. He has built an extensive amount of catalog by working with major artists, songwriters and producers, such as Chris brown, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla Sign, Usher, Eric Bellinger, Sean Garrett, and more.

He encourages love and peace while staying true to himself as an artist.
